Vogue has decided to make a stand against the typical model standard portrayed with the media and other fashion/beauty affiliates by banning all “too-skinny” models.

This is a revolutionary and large step forward in the fashion industry. I guess you can really say that being a stick-figure model is no longer on trend! And thank-goodness, really. Now young girls, teens and women can really feel great about themselves when they see a model in a campaign or in a magazine wearing clothing from their favourite brands/designers.

Vogue being such a massive force in the fashion industry, I’m glad it was them who decided to make the first move by plugging away at this once-delicate subject. This way, publicists, magazines and other fashion empires can look at their example and follow suit. It’ll bring forth a much more appealing and desirable change to the visual marketing world of fashion.. instead having young 16 year old girls starving themselves to fit the clothes.
